About Elle
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I grew up surrounded by stories—even if they didn’t often reflect women like me. At 16, I found my way into the industry, working as a casting director with Patrick Hoelck before studying at UCLA’s School of Fine Arts. I had the priviledge to study portraiture and photography with Catherine Opie and James Welling. I was granted a full scholarship and graduated with honors while working for photographer and creative director Alix Malka.
Now living in Brooklyn, I work as a creative director helping brands tell richer, more human stories. My approach blends artistry and strategy. I build concepts thoughtfully through believing nothing is arbitrary and ensuring that casting, imagery, and design bring out a brand’s unique point of view while making space for people to see themselves reflected. Over the years, I’ve partnered with both boutique and global names, working in agencies and brand. Some names are Hello Agency, Harwell Godfrey, Sofia Kaman Fine Jewels, Swell Agency, Barneys New York, MAC, Everlane, and Lululemon.
I also speak about the importance of storytelling—why it matters, how it shapes culture, and the many ways it can expand who and what we see. You can hear me on podcasts like Our Motif and Dating White, or watch me in conversation with artist Gretchen Andrew at Gazell.io’s Digital Art House. I’ve also joined panels for the Monterey Art Museum, Polyester Magazine, and Ciel Creative.
